Diocesan Youth Pilgrimage to Lourdes 2005
The religious story of Lourdes began on Thursday, February
11th 1858, when three girls, one of whom was Bernadette, went
to collect wood along the shores of the river Gave. In the
course of that outing Bernadette heard a noise and looking
up saw a woman dressed in white praying the rosary. Following
that first apparition, Bernadette was to see her "Beautiful
Lady" 17 more times.

Youth Day 2005
World Youth Day is a Celebration of faith. It is Pope John
Paul II who invites young people and young adults to meet
in a specific place in the world. Young people from an increasing
number of nations (in Toronto more than 160 nations were represented)
come together, united around the Pope, listening to the Word
of God, assisting to celebrations and participating in a festival
of joy.
